Get Into Engineering Trades
In partnership with Prince’s Trust Scotland, Tullos Training Ltd are launching a new programme, Get Into Engineering Trades, which may be of interest to young people. The six-week, hands on course is aimed at young people aged 16-30 interested in getting started with an engineering trade. Participants will gain experience in various trades including welding, pipefitting, pneumatics and more. Young people wll specialise in one of these trades and gain an industry recognised qualification.
After an initial two-week rotational training participants will move to an SVQ Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations unit which they feel they could use to gain employment going forward. Tullos Training Ltd will sit with each young person to help them make this decision, to ensure they make the right choice for them, while being guided by feedback from the training staff.
The training will be fully delivered by industry experienced instructors at Tullos Training Ltd. Young people taking part in the Get Into Engineering Trades Programme programme will receive full pastoral support throughout the programme and afterwards from their named PT Youth Development Lead, Ross Sutherland. The course is wholly face-to-face and will be based on Tullos Training Ltd premises on Craigshaw Drive, Aberdeen. All PPE will be provided and travel expenses can be reimbursed.
