Pathway Apprenticeship Programme
The Pathway Apprenticeship Programme is a new initiative created by Skills Development Scotland to help prepare young people for the world of work. We are happy to announce that we will be offering the SCQF Level 5 Engineering Pathway Apprenticeship. The programme is aimed at young people up to 18 years old who have recently left school, are unemployed and not receiving benefits (Kickstart programme not included).
Participants will gain an SCQF Level 5 qualification in Performing Engineering Operations while completing the course. This is an industry-recognised qualification which will accelerate your progression into future apprenticeship opportunities. The course lasts 36 weeks and you’ll earn a weekly allowance of £100 per week. Pathway Apprenticeships are a great way for you to gain practical experience while working towards your qualification. Skills Development Scotland list some of the benefits of the programme on their website – https://www.apprenticeships.scot/become-an-apprentice/pathway-apprenticeships/.
What does the recruitment process involve? After expressing your interest via the contact form below, we will contact you to arrange a date and time for you to attend Tullos Training to complete our aptitude test and be interviewed. Our aptitude test has been created at a National 4/5 level and has a pass mark of 70%. Candidates are allocated 45 minutes to complete the test and extra requirement (eg extra time, scribe, etc) will be allocated if you previously received this during SQA Assessments completed at school. In the event that you fail the aptitude test, you will be offered a date and time to complete our resit paper.
